Discovering a New Way to Crochet

Crochet is a timeless craft—but learning it can feel overwhelming.

When I first started, I wanted to make everything. The endless inspiration and talent online were thrilling—but also, at times, completely paralyzing. Instead of feeling joyful, I often ended up feeling like all the designs I loved were beyond my skills.
As a self-taught crocheter and a late starter (in my 50s!), I understand how overwhelming the learning curve can be. With so many ideas, tutorials, and patterns available, it’s easy to feel lost when all we want is to create something beautiful. Patterns have always confused me. And yes—even with a background in computer programming, I struggled.
I knew I wasn’t alone. So many people come to crochet for the joy of making, only to feel disheartened when the design they imagined—or saw on a pattern cover—just didn't come together. I want to change that. I want to create patterns that gently guide, encourage, and bring back the joy that got us hooked in the first place.
That beginner journey shaped everything I do now. Today, I use my background in IT consulting to design patterns that simplify the learning process, remove unnecessary complexity, and build confidence one stitch at a time. With intuitive layouts, step-by-step guidance, and thoughtfully structured designs, Dream Makes patterns turn frustration into flow.
Imagine crochet patterns that always feel like a win: approachable, exciting, and rewarding from start to finish. With Dream Makes, you don’t have to imagine.
Are you ready to discover a new way to crochet?
